Did the taxi driver deserve murdering as well then? How about if they'd
miss timed things and wiped out a family of 4 in a following car, would
that have been "acceptable collatoral damage, since they probably voted
tory"???

Rubbish. I live in an area classed as in need of Economic Aid by the
EU. It was severely hit when the mines closed down, even though it's
not a mining community, as they used to holiday here. Work is low paid
and seasonal yet despite having high unemployment, drugs and crime are
in the lower end of the UK tables.

Nice to read your thread, Brian and Vince, which rambled on in quite an
aggressive tone at times, sort itself out peacefully, and remained
interesting too. It is Christmas after all! ;-)

I don't think my little snout stuck in the trough would have been
noticed amongst the many other FAR more greedy pigs.
Don't forget that this was the era of Thatcher, when everyone was on the
make.

Most of the time when you fall out with people in an environment like
this it is all down to a misunderstanding and can soon be sorted out.
Your bitterest enemies in cryberspace could quite easily be your best
friends in person.
Brian.

None at all, however the term is a shorthand for those who hypocritically
tell others to lead a socialist life while hanging on to the silver spoon
that was inserted into their mouth at birth.
Anthony Wedgewood Benn gave up a title that he inherited, big deal. He
wanted the working man to give up what they had worked for in order to give
it to people who wouldn't work.
