Aren't they also building a freighter version of the A380? If so, I
imagine the price of air-freighted lentils will plummet, which will
undoubtedly be welcomed by the Catford sage.

Yup.

It was said of the 747 that it was one of the most efficient, cheapest
per unit moved devices yet invented. The A380 looks set to undercut the
747 by a considerable margin.

Probably because they would have had to base it on where a ship is
registered, resulting in a lot of ships reregistering to a country not bound
