Since in the UK, there is no current alternative
to lorry haulage, I don't see why rising fuel costs
are a problem (to them).
The hauliers can simply pass the increase
on in their haulage rates.

If they refuse to pay it then obviously they don't really need it. As
with cars, high fuel prices will almost certainly have the beneficial
effect of reducing not only frivolous hypermobility, environmental ...
