Doug stated ( as a defense against getting the 4.7 gig max size of a
DVD completely wrong)
"Yes most movies are now on dual layer but as far as I know such
recordable discs are not used for video cameras and indeed they seem to
be in very short supply on the shelves of computer and other shops. My
guess is that dual layer recordable discs would make it too easy to
copy the rented movies, as no compression would be involved. "
these discs are not in short supply, i saw several packs in my local
tesco last night. I saw several packs on sale on the web yesterday.
"DV is the minimum standard acceptable, not the puny MPEG2 that you
use"
isn't Mpeg2 a form of DV?
I'll post more of your errors later. They are certainly just as bad as
the misuse of the term rendering rather than compression.
