Enviroloons attack train in Yorkshire

"About 30 climate campaigners have halted a train taking coal to one of
Europe's biggest power stations in North Yorkshire.

A giant banner reading "Leave it in the ground" has been draped over the
train bound for Drax near Selby.

One of the activists said the freight train was stopped using a red flag.

He said protesters had attached lines to the train's wheels to stop it
moving. He said the intention was to start unloading coal using shovels. "

Unlawful use of force? Organised group? Intimidation? Political reasons?

Can anyone think of a word that succinctly describes the reported act in the
story?

1000 tonnes of coal unloaded with shovels. That'll keep them busy for a
while.

Is this on a dedicated rail spur, or a main line?

"The protest is being staged by members of Leave it in the Ground, a
group which campaigns against open cast mining."

So does that mean if they found out it came from a deep level polish
mine they'd all bugger off and let the train driver do his job? Or are
they just yet another student splinter group of a splinter group that
does general hand waving enviromental protests about whichever company
they've decided is Bogeyman Of The Week?

I bet if they publish pictures of them there'll be the obligatory
girls with nose rings tie-dye dungarees and optional "ethnic" style
dreadlocks, scrawny looking blokes with robinson crusoe beards who can
just about lift a banner between the pair of them , and the de-rigeur
village idiots blowing whistles and banging tambourines with a
cannabis cake on slow cook back at the "Peace camp".

Who knows, they may enjoy it so much that they'll actually get jobs.

Nothing to indicate that they are loons in that article.

Nothing to indicate that they attacked the train in that article.

The usual suspects have not used the same yawn-inducing language
about lorry drivers preventing the movement of petrol. The sort of
double standards many in this group display.

Only loons would stop a train going about it's lawful business.

The fact that they have stopped the train without authority or good reason
and are now preparing to uload it without good reason or authority is an
attack.

No, plenty of perfectly sane, rational people chain trains to the track.
> Nothing to indicate that they attacked the train in that article.

Apart from them having chained the train to the track, of course.

Nothing to indicate they are sensible either
