Easter "chaos" overhyped non-event

Date: Mar 21, 2008 12:03

It looks like despite the trains not wanting to take the strain this Easter
weekend those scaremongers who predicted chaos on the roads were completely
mistaken and the reality is motorists are coping just fine thanks.

Meanwhile rail users are pissing and whining because of the severe
disruption and the failure to lay on adequate bus transport. PT 0 CAR
millions. A clear victory for the car, again.

I drove in from Andover to Sittingbourne via Belvedere today and the roads
were empty.

It's the earliest Easter for 95 years- since 1913- and the next time it will
be this early will be 2228. My kids don't break up for the "Easter" holiday
until next month.

I'm driving to Skem on Easter Monday and I'm expecting the same conditions.

Really? That's not what I have been reading:

"Britain is bracing itself for a blast of Easter snow that promises to
dampen seasonal celebrations and prolong the motoring misery for
millions."

More about the miseries of hypermobilty:

"motoring misery" ??
Yesterday, I drove to Docklands then onto Greenwhich, and then back home.
Hardly any traffic on the roads. So, no motoring misery for me :o)
