Disposing of an old vehicle

I have an old Land Rover which has become rather unreliable. It is
beyond economic repair, and I really can't be bothered taking it to
the scrapyard. What are the risks of just dumping it by the side of
the road? Are there any serial numbers I should remove to avoid
identification (obviously I will remove the number plates). Does
anyone on the group have experience of doing this?

You'd have to be an utter fuckwit to do that. It's worth plentymuch in
bits or weighed in. A Landy has to be the ultimate recyclable vehicle.

I haven't got time to take it to the scrapyard - I am flying tomorrow
to Morocco, where I have a 2 stroke motorbike waiting ...

A bit redundant as a statement when referring to Duhng. Mind you Conor
seems to have bene drinking from the same chalice this week.

Recycling, Duhng doesn't do that. Other than for soap of course.

But are you going to have time to climb onto a train and protest about
the local power station? And you can't do that until you've waiting
for your organic tofu to be flown in from italy by private learjet.

Gosh, were we?

I'd never have realised - Duhg's one consistent factor is how vocal he is
against all cars, especially 4x4s, that it would require an immense
amount of hypocrisy for him to have had an old Landy...

No - my local power station only produces good CO2, and in any case
provides electricity for essential users i.e. me. It is the power
stations in other parts of the country that produce the bad CO2 and
should be shut down immediately.

Yeah, so what? Obviously airfreighting my food into the country is a
good thing, unlike all those people going on nasty foreign holidays
(especially poor people who go on cheap package holidays - ugh).
