A TV channel called Dave has recently surfaced on Freeview, which
seems to consists mainly of unremitting motoring crap between the
hours of 7am and 9pm every day, in which that loathsome presenter
Clarkson figures quite extensively. How a whole channel can be devoted
to such irksome coverage and remain viable astonishes me. Who watches
it? Surely not motorists because they are too busy driving their
machines to death during those viewing hours. It must be aimed at
people who have either been banned from driving or are too old to
drive, or maybe too young to drive.

I'd never heard of it until you mentioned it and I still won't be watching
it as I consider TV to be a cause of unnecessary pollution.
Since your the only person, so far, on this group who claims to watch it, it
says far more about you than anyone else.

It would have been simpler to say "More Motor Porn" for me to watch.
Or are you only interested if there are high speed chases and lives on
the line?
oh wait "too old to drive"; I see now who their target audience must
be and it seems to have found you...
IIRC there was non motor stuff on Dave last time I flicked past it...
Are you sure your not taking this anti car ramage a bit to far. I
wouldn't want you to give yourself a heart attack over it.

It does have a lot of top gear/motoring shows on this week but try
looking at next monday...
