More hypermobility?

"Up to 18 million drivers will take to Britain's roads this Friday as
the Christmas great getaway takes off, according to the RAC.

It is set to be the busiest day of the year for motorists, although
many family reunions could be scuppered by fuel-price concerns.

The RAC is also predicting four million cars will be used on Christmas
Day and about 16 million on December 27 and 28.

The motoring organisation warned that the busiest time is likely to be
3pm on Friday with transport chiefs telling motorists to plan ahead to
avoid traffic jams..."

And how many cars are used on any normal work/school day?

No, the same amount. Ulinke the burgeoning amount of cut 'n' paste crap that
you inflict on this news group.

Perhaps if you spent your time doing the job that you promised to do instead
of wasting time with every little scrap of motoring tittle tattle from the
Waily Dail you'd get less flack.

Good, the more people who travel on Friday the quieter the
roads will be over the weekend.

I need to travel from Chester to Warminster on Christmas day
and return the following day. Please provide a PT itinerary for
this journey no later than noon Friday including suggestions
for carrying presents for 7 people, one of which is a 5'6" tall
tree.

Gosh, really? You mean to say that the period prior to this country's
main national holiday will see extra traffic on our roads? Who'd have
thought it? You'll be telling us that more people go to church on Dec
25 than on any other day next.

...blah snip blah...

I notice that you didn't cut n paste this story though, which by an amazing
coincidence, is the very next story in that online paper!!!

Quote:
Rail firms accused of forcing Christmas travellers to pay hundreds of pounds
for 'rip-off' tickets

The campaign to stop rail firms pushing up fares in the run-up to Christmas
and other busy times of the year stepped up a gear today.

There were demands for Transport Secretary Ruth Kelly to enter the row over
operators restricting the sale of cheaper tickets.

Travellers are frequently told cheaper seats have all been sold and are
forced to buy much more expensive tickets.
