Doug (jagmad@ riseup.net) gurgled happily, sounding much like they were
saying :
>>>> Doors? Where the fuck are the doors?
>>> It opens upwards.
> Ah! Cyclist friendly, unlike most cars where doors are slammed into
> approaching cyclists.
That's not the fault of the car, but of the fuckwit who opens the door
without looking.
(Oh, and of the cyclist who isn't watching properly and is riding too close
to parked cars containing occupants, but we'll let that slide for a
moment.)
A year or so ago, Peugeot did a press release for the 1007 - which has
electric sliding doors - implying that it was "cyclist friendly", because
they wouldn't ride into doors that were opened. Which kinda put the blame
on the cyclist rather than the person opening the door.
I complained to Peugeot about that, fwiw.
