Correct me if I'm wrong, but to refine crude oil into anything useful
- such as bitumen for roads for cyclists to use, for lubricating oil
that allows machinery such as electricity generators to work you first
have to tap off the volatiles - i.e. Petrol - have you any suggestions
what they will do with all surplus petrol?

Roads can be surfaced with substances other than bitumen and lubricating oil
can be made from other than mineral oil.
