But after the first use of diesel to produce the first round of crops
diesel can be replaced by biodiesel. In fact the farmer could use their
own crop to power their diesel engines, which was why the thing was
invented in the first place.

Don't try to confuse matters with the truth it's not something Doug cares
for, next you will be pointing out that the 3rd generation of bio fuels that
are in development are produced from native plants that can be grown without
fertiliser or herbicides and from the remaining bio mass of food stuff plants
(storks, leaves cobs from corn etc) so require no additional land, fertiliser
or herbicide use. We can produce Bio-ethanol from it now but it's a complex
and expensive process compared to using sugar beat or corn sugars.

I'm simply trying to counter the one-sided rants posted here by a loon
who refuses to see two sides to an argument.

The articles referenced make it clear that your claims about "harmful
aggrofuels" have more to do with soundbites than science.

BTW, the mono-maniac loon in question is you.

That's the only problem. Everything else is a consequence of this
problem. You will never stop people from travelling. Ever.
