Biofuel hypocrisy?

Doug, that Guardian article you posted links to a guide to that Climate
Camp opposing the power station. I read the article and it appears that
there are several workshops during the camp, one of which is 'Make your
own biodiesel'.

I know these people oppose the use of crops grown specifically for fuel
so I guess these workshops will be discussing the use of waste oil to
produce the biodiesel.

So why is it that you complain when I run my own car on biodiesel
produced from waste oil, as it seems to have the backing of the activists?

There was in interesting segment on biofuel on Jummys farming or
whatever it was called the other night. Some bloke was farming Willow
trees to be burnt for power at Drax (so they can reduce their net CO2
output). He had a huge barn full of wood chippings he'd made, couple
of hundred tons I believe. Guess how long it kept Drax going for? 2
flippin hours! And that was the guys whole crop for the year!
