Yes I can see that if there was a track rod failure but I would consider as
long as the wheels were held in their correct relationship to each other they
would fail to straight ahead, Whilst in your car try letting go of the
steering whilst in a tightish turn and the vehicle should straighten out
automatically, my landrover does.
