85,000 passengers stranded overseas.

Customers who booked through a travel agent will be able to claim a
refund. However, travellers who made bookings through the company’s
website, xl.com or via xl call centres, will not qualify.

In a statement on its website, the group blamed high fuel prices, the
economic slump, and a failure to obtain further funding..."

1,700 people have just lost their jobs.
Thousands have lost money and their only opportunity for a holiday this
year.

And you think it "gets better and better". Fuck, but you really are a
deeply unpleasant individual, aren't you?

Well if people will decide to work in destructive industries what else
can they expect? Shit happens. The choice is theirs.

What industries have you worked in across your career?

Read that manslaughter case yet, Gollum? May I assume from your lack
of further comment that you now admit you were talking out of your
anus?

Has it gone then? Last night/this morning when I went to bed they were
entering administration but potentially still continuing to operate. In many
ways it seems a bit odd that it has happened now with oil prices dropping and
passenger numbers from many airports at an all time high. (Yes I know they
were probably flying on cheaper fuel that they had pre-paid but still).
Considering XL were the third largest tour operator in the UK what has
happened to there non airline operations?
