Oh the joys of motoring!

"A Wallington woman's car was towed away and crushed after she left it
in the road for a week following an accident.

Kerry Herneman said she was furious when council workers in Epsom took
her car without telling her..."

"It had just been taxed and MOT'd and had a new gear box, clutch and
re-spray that cost £500."

If things are as the article claims then she should have a good case
against the council for the theft of her car. A suitable amount of
compensation might discourage their enthusiasm.

She had a week before her husband got home. Did she not think to ring
*someone*? Council maybe, or the police for advice? Surely asking her
mates one of them might have been able to offer a suggestion? Or was she
dazed and confused for that week following her trip into the hedge? Or
is she always like that?

That depends on one's experience of such people. I have to say that mine is
mixed, sometimes one manages to talk to someone who's genuinely helpful and
sometiimes one ends up talking to some moron who can only spout rules.

You're assuming she's got any locally?
