The first attempt used CreateOffscreenPlainSurface to create a 640x480 frame surface, D3DXLoadSurfaceFromMemory to write to ... the presentation thread to be timer driven rather than being triggered by the game doing an update. Ie on timer get the mouse cursor position and draw. Thoughts? Nick
