  Monaco, Rain & Crashes

Monaco's a wonderfully historic place to hold an F1 event but is it
realistic for the only exciting races to happen once in a blue moon when
rain causes all those crashes?
Ninety percent of the time Monaco is a boring procession and ten percent a
demolition derby.

Now I remember the reasons I watch F1. I cannot (ATM) think of a better
race.

I remember watching the battle between Senna and Mansell at Monaco, and
Senna taking out Prost/ Prost taking out Senna. I was actually lucky enough
to be there when MS won in the pit lane. I have memories of some of the
greats winning races from way back on the grid, and also of Damon Hill
almost winning in an Arrows: But this race is definitely one which will
remain in my memory for a very very long time.

I guess it should keep the Monaco critics quiet for a while (well, until
next May anyway!).

Female engineer fuels Ferrari F1 team
Extracting every ounce of power for Ferrari is just a typical day at the
paddock for 33-year-old

Nika Rolczewski
Toronto Star

Lisa Lilley loves her job. For 18 weekends a year, she follows Formula One
teams around the world, spending her time in the Ferrari paddock.

Not as a fan, but as technology manager for Ferrari Shell Global Solutions.

Lilley is responsible for extracting every ounce of power from the fuel and
lubricants used on the scarlet-red race cars of Felipe Massa and Kimi
Raikkonen, as well as making sure that the team's Shell V-Power fuel meets
the standards imposed by the sport's governing body.

The 33-year-old British engineer, who joined Shell 12 years ago after
graduating with a degree in chemical process engineering, is one of the few
women in the male-dominated world of motorsport.

Driver Rankings - After Istanbul Park (includes all-time Top 60)

Author: Brian Lawrence
Date: May 14, 2008 04:09

All-time Top 60

I've added this list at the bottom, below the four main lists.

Numbers in brackets () in second column indicate table positions before
adding the most recent GP (IE the change in table position).

GPs - number of GPs counted for each driver (from the last 100)

[-1] [+1], etc. - number of GPs deleted/added to driver's record since
the last event
PP - number of Pole Positions (in the last 100)
W - number of Wins (in the last 100)
FL - number of Fastest Laps (in the last 100)
Points - these are 'my' points, allocated for many & various things, not
just wins, poles, f.laps, etc.
[Change] - the change in points after adding the most recent GP data
** - current drivers

The Last 100 GPs (~5 years)
===========================

First race (GP #1) - French GP, 21 July 2002
Last race (GP #100) - Turkish GP, 11 May 2008
