Note: Last week's summary was based on initial numbers from various websites.
After checking with the more reliable Forix I have corrected the number of
laps and kilometres for fifteen drivers. In almost all cases they did a few
more laps/km. than the initial data suggested.

F1's corporate hospitality and advertising business is in the red, the
London newspaper The Daily Telegraph has revealed.
The sport's owner, CVC, made an after-tax loss of $3m in that division
of the business, after having to pay $22.5 million in interest on its
loans of $334m, the latest accounts reportedly show.
CVC's Beta Holdings accounts also show turnover of $91m and costs of
$87m.
The Telegraph also reveals that the Canadian and French grands prix
this year are yet to secure main sponsors.

Max Mosley has issued a strong hint that he may not be ready to retire
as FIA president by the time of the next elections in October 2009.
The 67-year-old Briton, who in 2004 rescinded a decision to step down
from the role, told the London newspaper The Times that he still sees
work to do as the unpaid head of F1's governing body.

Dodge Viper SRT-10 Roadster
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The automobile Dodge Viper was first introduced over fifteen years ago
in 1992. Since then the Dodge Viper has changed, improved and faced
many obstacles as well. But its popularity has never gone down. Many
people still love Dodge Vipers. The new 2006 Viper model has also
changed; it has been introduced as a coupe. Many people have been
waiting to see what Dodge had up their sleeves, now the wait is over.
Read on and see the many changes that have been made to the
DodgeViper.
The most apparent change of the Viper would have to be that the model
has a double bubble roof. Double bubble roof you say? Yes I'm not
kidding; the roof has a unique shape. For those who do not know,...

A few days ago I answered a query about two drivers of the same nationality
fighting for the WDC. While looking up the records I started some analysis
of the actual WDC tables. Since the WDC began in 1950 there have been 785
events (includes the 10 Indy 500s from 1950-60) and so there have been
785 Championship tables. I wondered who had occupied the top position
for the greatest length of time - well I didn't really need to wonder
about that, but the rest of the drivers were less certain :-)
Firstly I decided to count all drivers who were in equal first place on
points ignoring the actual finishing positions which can sometimes be
used to separate them. To digress slightly, the lead has been shared
between two (or three) drivers on 34 occasions. On 15 occasions the
drivers could not be separated by most wins, most seconds, etc., leaving
19 when they could have been.
It's possible to sort the drivers in two ways - by the actual number of
days they spent at the top of the table (in the 'fifties there were
bigger gaps between races); and by the number of events where they were
at the top after the event ended.
The time at the top is considered to end with the final event of the
season. Actual time 'serving' as the WDC is a different thing.
