Private trackers are the way forward - and there are loads for different
purposes. Depends what you're after really.

It's all relative. It's generally nowhere near as fast as a private
Bittorent tracker e.g. on one particular tracker I use I always get at least
100KB/S (800kbps) and often my line maximum which is about 400KB/S
(3200kbps). Of course it depends on the configuration of the tracker and the
kind of media shared but you will almost always find a private tracker will
be significantly faster than Emule (or a public tracker).
