From my position in the Beer Cafe watching Celtic TV - I can assure it was
never a foul! And I was only on my second Erdinger at that point. I didn't
spot the handball at the time though - only after several replays.

I wish those that stream matches on Sopcast would do so at a far higher
resolution - I like my free soccer to watchable ;-)

I would start with putting the likes of Brines back to amateur and minor
Junior fixtures. For some bizarre reason he has been fast accelerated to
grade 1 and it clearly has been a major mistake. He is most inept of all
the current grade 1 refs. A lot of this crisis could be eliminated through
inisiting on competence. I find it hard to believe that there aren't more
competent young refs coming through. But I suppose if the SFA continue to
insist that as well as refereeing - our grade 1 refs must also hold down
high powered jobs - then that might well be the case.

I would finish by introducing TV evidence. However that would not eradicate
someone like Brines entering a dressing room and trying to impose his
interpretation of the rules. Quite frankly he should never referee another
senior match on that basis alone! I truly hope John Hughes and Falkirk FC
do not this issue rest.
