Got a PS3 recently. Anyone got any recommendations for good games or bluray
movies?

Another question, I believe that media centre on the xbox can be used to
stream DVDs at full 1080p. Can the PS3 be used as an entertainment centre as
well? I am assuming not, just curious.

Everybody's Golf, Call of Duty 4, Uncharted, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, GTA
IV, Resistance, FIFA 08.

All movies look superb on blu ray, especially if you have a 1080p TV with
HDMI 1.3 support

Yes, it will find media serves such as Windows Media Player, Nero Home, etc,
no bother and stream XVids, photos, music, etc.

The other good thing about the PS3 is you can easily fit any computer 2.5"
SATA hard drive without invalidating the warranty. You can get a 320GB one
for about £60

FIFA 08 is superb.

What exactly is HDMI 1.3? Is that just refering to a cable that supports
full 1080p?

Uncharted, Devil May Cry 4, Call of Duty 4, Ratchet and Clank TOD,
Oblivion Game of the Year Edition, GT Prologue, Warhawk, GTA 4 just to
name some. It makes a very fine media centre and will connect to and
streams from pretty much any media centre you may have. If you have a
PSP aswell you can watch the media on your PSP from anywhere you have a
wireless connection available.

Cheers. I'm just setting it up just now, updated to v2.3 o/s, set up the
video settings, downloaded a few demos from the PS store.
