A day of joy turned into a nightmare of riots and fighting when
Manchester failed to put 10p in the meter as their big screens put on
for the rangers fans failed.

Yes, and the rioting Rangers fans we've all now seen on global TV, and
the Rangers thugs stabbing Russian supporters are a credit to their
kin?
Manchester did fail UEFA by caving in and allowing the hordes of
unwashed scum with a well proven track record of violence as long as
the M6 motorway, desecrate their city.
More fool them, now, perhaps other cities that have to accomodate these
animals on tour in the future wil corrall them and cage them as they
should be.
Rangers fans had a chance to redeem some of their clubs bad name, in a
huge final with a worldwide audience, but, the pictures beaming around
the planet on CNN etc now are not ones of a football match, but, ones
of mob violence
SHAME ON YOU RANGERS SCUM... SHAME ON YOU!

Totally ? Don't be so silly man. English "fans" are without doubt the
biggest perps however they are hardly the only ones. Take the blinkers
off. Rangers fans last night were well out of line.

A large part of the problem is the drink culture in this country which
desparately needs to change. There is no excuse for and no reason for binge
drinking. The sooner people realise this and the sooner there is a culture
change the better. You don't have to get drunk to have a good time.

As for the organisation of the event, I would say lessons need to be learned
for next time but how often do you have a situation like this?
