We're all going on about how crap Rangers were and how they should have
beaten their Artmedia. Look at the first Kaunas goal, what a strike (click
link below)! When you compare our performance against Tottenham (I know it
was a friendly but we still looked dire) and their performance last night,
it doesn't really say much for us all on the bigger stage. If nothing else,
it perhaps reinforces the 'poor quality of Scottish football' debate which
has raged in recent years. We did put up a better performance against
Feyenoord though. Let's hope our CL performances justify our appearance
there.
Scottish football could do with raising its profile in the world footballing
community's eyes as we are generally seen as also-rans. Recent Uefa final
appearances by both teams in recent years are always a help, and the
Scottish team performance in the WC are always worthwhile but we all
(Scottish football in general) need to have some consistency on the bigger
stage for us to be taken seriously.

McGregor should have saved it. Look where it crossed the line. Two foot
inside the post (at least) and a foot under the bar. A decent shot, no
more, it should have been dealt with fairly comfortably.

why are you bringing us down? Just cos they where shit doesnt mean you have
to say we are shit aswell. Our game against Spurs was a pre-season friendly
so lay off the hoops.

Boruc would have saved this shot easily.

So you're suggesting we should take it easy in a pre-season 'friendly'?. By
your statement above, you're also suggesting we weren't shit against Spurs?
If you'd read what I wrote, I'm not saying we are crap per-se, only that our
performance that night was poor and that as a whole the Scottish league is
viewed in a poor light. We have had some stunning performances against some
big names (can think of a few excellent nights at Parkhead as can everyone),
and some really crap performances too. As a paying member of the support,
I'm entitled to my opinion which I stated that we find it difficult to
compete at times on the bigger stage. Do I see us reaching the CL final
anytime soon... No, not really as I don't think we have the strength and
depth to do that. Can we give teams a difficult time at CP when they come?
Yes, we definitely can.
~snip~ lay off the hoops ~snip~ so everything's peachy with the club then?

Have to say that yep we have bragging rights at the moment, but our own clubs
is far from anything great.I hope we learn from Rangers errors and get the
key players in sharpish.

So would McGregor last season. He's looking very rusty.

I think things are pretty much peachy at the moment, yes. We have a great
board for once in our history and we have a team with the best record since
the jock stein era.. i'm a realist and i cant really expect much more than
that at the moment. The whole Shitty Scottish football thing is something
im refusing to get me down, its not our fault if other teams cant sort there
act out, we can only just keep on doing OUR best.
