What happens next?

Last night I validated my final training modules and I am being
recommended for a woodbadge (woo hoo).

What happens next? Do I get a jiffy bag through the post containing
beads or is there a presentation or what?

No-one seems too sure here.

Regards,

Stephen

Forms go to gilweel. Local taining manager does them. If you have one.
If not. call gilwell or look online. Get your own forms and get people
to sign the right boxes. then post it off. 2- 3 weeks later DC gets the
beads, certificate etc. Then he presents it when he gets the chance. In
front of kids or at a leaders' meeting. I'd hoped to get it on a troop
night but hey ho. it was done at a leaders meeting. Just pleased it's
all over. Hoops jumped through... woo hoo

Firstly Congratulations on completing.

What is SUPPOSED to happen according to the letter that is sent with the
beads and certificate to the DC is that they are to be presented at a
suitable occasion and there are instructions as to how this should be
carried out.

I just got mine in the troop. Can't say I'm bothered about the beads - I
don't tend to wear things that set the leaders apart from the scouts. You
can also get a Gilwel scarf and you become a member...

Why would it?

We certainly don't ... we do however, have an "International" necker ...
able to be worn by individuals representing our district at international
events.
