There has to be at least ONE programme idea here for every section!

http://www.wireandtwine.com/green/50/#html

OK so its an American list and we don't use as many "napkins" so that's not
really an issue but the rest are pretty universal, if a tad old hat to many
UK citizens.

You could print it out and ask each patrol/six to identify three things they
could do at home and three at camp?

Oh yes explorers should not necessarily shower with a friend, but it should
be fine for leaders :-)

Gags MUST be getting bored by now so.....

Hmmm...

Oh, I think that Explorer Scouts... no we have done that....

How about... oh no done that too....

Ahh, I think that... no actually I don't :-(

Damn this is difficult.

Oh I dunno, I can't think of anything we haven't debated over the past three
months. :-)

OK so back to the old favourite... I went to the host group AGM last night,
they have a new Chairman, who just happens to have a Son in my unit. (plus
one in cubs and one in beavers) he was great and included us in everything
that wend on, he even asked me to say a few words about the unit, after the
other leaders,

I really miss having the support of a group around me :-(

Kandersteg - Looking for trip advice

Author: Jim

My Unit have decided they want to go abroad in 2010 (time for fund-
raising) and Kandersteg seems a good choice.

I'm not looking for a thread on where to go, rather looking anyone who
has done trips to similar places and can offer guidance from the
organisational side - good/bad/issues/best practice etc.

I'm no stranger to International stuff and organising large
undertakings, just looking for gotcha's and tips.

Numbers are likely to be 10-12 plus leaders, so what have people done
for transport with smaller numbers? Minibus (I'm aware of the european
regs), or hired a coach, or train? How did your kit get there?

Specifically Kandersteg, if we didn't have our own transport is it
easy enough to get around?

What costs have people done similar trips for? What hidden costs might
we find?

Jim
