This is an extract from the minutes of the campsite , any ideas as it
looks like some manipulation to avoid more complex procedures
Financial year normally goes from jan to dec

quote

Income is to be over £250,000 this year.
........... stated that this would be over the charity commission
threshold and to overcome this the year end should be moved. The
constitution would need to be changed as it states that the AGM must
be in March/April. ...........proposed to move the year end to end
march with the AGM in June.

Trousers for the more rotund gentleman

Whilst mooching round the retail park at lakeside today I thought I'd get
some new trousers for outdoor scouty-type stuff.
My usual place to get them (Decathlon) let me down.
Blacks don't cater for anyone with a waist over thirty six inches.
And it seems nor does anyone else.

Where can I get decent outdoor troosers in XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXL
:o)

Anyone else get an email this morning, apparently intended for County
Commissioners but which appears to have been sent to a wider distribution
list?

One of the items talks about the ability, planned for later this year, to
complete CRB disclosure applications on-line, which would certainly be a
step forward from my perspective.

We took the Explorers to Auchengillan a few years back and did a day
(+very late evening) trip over to Edinburgh. Used a coach park out at
Leith (Britannia Quay area). They let us park free as it was Scouts.

Dropped the kids in the centre, drove out and bussed it back.

Not centre, but a possibility.

  Girls in scouting

Author: Bill Oldroyd

Only an observation really, I just wondered what other peoples'
situations and views are.

Having just completed our census return, I notice the ratio of
girls to boys in our group is one girl to three boys, with the
highest proportion of girls in the Scout Troop.

Encouraging girls to join scouts has certainly increased our
numbers over the past few years.

The other interesting statistic is a leader/assistant : youth
member ratio of 1 to 12. Now I am not too worried about this in
terms of delivering the programme because we have a fair few
members and retention is pretty good. But is does mean that if a
leader leaves the ratio will quickly become unreasonable.

There are also several Scout halls with cheaper accommodation and easier
parking.

I can put you in touch with at least two, if you want. Contact me off
group.
