I tried to get on to the dreaded system to amend the address for two of my
leaders yesterday and was not able to do this.
As GSL, I used to be able to maintain records for all my leaders, change
addresses, change magazine supplement requirements etc, but apparently, now,
according to Gilwell Info centre, GSL's are no longer able to do this and
either the leader has to do it themselves, difficult as they don't have
internet access, or District have to do it.

When did this change come in and which lunatic took the decision to foist
more indirect work onto the District Secreatary

Just wondered if anyone had written or had a link to any really simple
instructions/ diagramme, (aimed at the 12 year old barely literate) for:
using a Silva type compass, for 6 figure references and for introduction to
OS maps generally. Just being a lazey toad.
