  Working paper models

Author:

I saw this one today and thought it might be useful for anybody looking for
a winter creative project

http://www.flying-pig.co.uk/fpdlshop/index.html

These are all animated paper models, that you buy on line for a quid or so.
They send you a .pdf file and you can print as many as you like for you
little herberts.

Not sure who they would be suitable for, probably too fiddly for
unsupervised beavers and cubs, and maybe too "twee" for scouts, but heck
have a look and see what you think.

My wife reckons they could make good Christmas presents

  Warning: London free travel

Author: Neil Williams
Date: Jan 8, 2008 12:08

Just thought I'd post a warning to those planning a trip to London who
planned on using the free bus travel facility for YP.

I read today in the paper that, due to serious abuse of the facility,
for 11-18 year olds this will in future require an Oyster Photocard to
be obtained in advance from Transport for London. I don't, however,
know the process or the date as yet.
