Good luck

Whilst you have no intention the reality may be very different. I knows
its slightly different, but I currently work in Democratic Services for
the local council, and it involves a lot of evening meetings. I was
offered the DESC post, or at least was invited to go through the
application process but in the end decided that I could not really
justify being away for anymore evenings during the week than I already
am. My partner is not involved in Scouting or Guiding, and is very
supportive but there is a limit.

Has it occurred to you that they nearly always do exactly what you say
they will never do just to prove you wrong...

For traditional lead climbing in grades VS and above its fine.
For the average Scout group, not much good at all.

Our DC has resigned so I am no longer ADC(Scouts) and won't be putting my
name forward to the new one :-)
