Are there any expensive laptops these days? My GPS cost more than most of
today's laptops!
I also have a Bluetooth GPS which has 25 channels and cost £24. Works fine
in a poly bag out in the open.

The 1933 J class yacht Velsheda is taking part in the Round the Island Race
this year, but I can't find any details of when & where she's arriving in
the Solent area. If anyone hears anything, can you let me know, as I'd love
to sail out to greet her.

Thanks Ian, just tried it and it worked fine for me too.

He could pick up a dozen scrapped broken washing machines, fill them
with expanded polystyrene packing beads, and string them together
into a raft. Then erect a rotary clothes dryer as rudimentary sail.
Stranger craft have put to sea and come to no grief.

Maybe he's just going to buy a Bavaria and motor from marina to marina
on nice days. He can pick up enough to do that over a weekend, then
concentrate on keeping clean.
