Why am I not surprised by Multiplex recalling some of their gear I wonder

Now someone once said to me "I wouldn't wipe my arse with Multiplex gear"

Their web site says nothing about a recall.

What is happening about recall of Futaba 2.4 transmitters?

I had mine tested OK at the local shop.
They didn't know how to do it - but handed me the instructions and
uncoded RX!

Yesterday someone told me that Futaba are to recall the whole lot.
Is that true?
Or are they recalling only the 2.4 modules that plug into an old Futaba
TX?

I thought I would write to say that a very good modeller and friend, Ernie
Wheeler of Chesterton Stoke on Trent died earlier this week at the age of
72.

He was a member of the Clayton model aircraft club and later the Spitfires
club. He was a very active modeller to the end. I knew him all my life on
and off and I know he will be greatly missed by many friends and modellers
in N. Staffordshire and beyond.
