Without more information on what makes the smell worse, we can't be
of much help ?
Are you using the vent fan or air conditioner when you notice the
smell,
the car may have had a mold problem in the AC coils that was treated
using aerosol chemicals...

I have a pretty healthy 1998 2L petrol V40 and it sometimes stalls when
I'm reversing into a parking space (say), but only while the steering
wheel is turned fairly hard one way or the other without pause.
I'm no expert, but I assume that the power steering soaks up enough
power under those circumstances to drop the revs just below the point of
no return.
(Same as you, this doesn't happen going forwards, and I can't think why
...)

eBay for Rare Earth Magnets, they come in all shapes and sizes including
disks with holes which can be screwed in place. I have them on an awkward
cupboard door which won't hold on normal latches.

The (factory-fitted) alarm on my Zafira has started sounding
occasionally while parked up, for no apparent reason.
My thought is that the car battery may not be providing it with enough
juice (as these days it is mostly used for short journeys and probably
isn't getting charged enough (indeed, I did have to put it on charge
some weeks ago) and consequently the alarm goes off because it thinks
someone's thieved the car battery. IIRC it's the car's original battery
(~7 years old).
It went off yesterday evening while parked outside (not having been
driven for several hours); but I had no difficulty in starting it this
morning. I called in to my local automotive accessory shop, which
offers 'free battery testing'; bloke attached a multimeter-type gizmo
across the terminals, punched in some specs for my battery, and the
thing came up with "Good battery" display
Does the panel think my original hypothesis is correct? Anything else I
can check or test? Otherwise is it a trip to the Vauxhall dealer (who I
normally don't go near) to sort out the alarm/immobiliser?
Thanks
David

OK so there are some models that have no lever on the outside, but Still the
local locksmith is probably knowledgeable about the hardware in use in his
area and might be able to come up with a solution that is cheap, easy and
aesthetically pleasing.

About the time I had mastered getting the toothpaste back in the tube, then
they come up with this striped stuff.

On my Pioneer, you just nudge the control up/down to go up/down the
folders (only shown by number, but you can show artist/album name, which
is how I tend to have 'em organised) and left/right to go to next/
previous track within a folder.

The one my son fitted (Sony, not my choice) has a navigation button so
that you can navigate via the rotary knob. It recognises all the folders
and they all get listed in the display. Works a treat.
I never bother with CDs in the car any more. I've looked for head units
with USB but no CD, but all I can find are "el cheapo" brands - don't
understand that, as there must be some advantages to not having to fit a
CD deck.
