Bear in mind the politics; the US banned ephedra, largely on the back
of Steve Bechler's remarkably stupid Darwin-esque efforts. US
citizens are, by and large, obese. Having a product out there that
works doesn't sit easily with US Congressmen and women used to
receiving regular cash injections via brown envelopes from major
pharmaceutical companies all desperate to flog their overpriced diet
products.
