I've been given a new headunit which has just about every feature I could
want! currently have in my vw golf 2001 a gamma head unit with a connects2
adapter so I can connect my mp3 (atrac3) player via a cable, basically acts
a a cd changer.

No as I'm removing my gamma unit and putting the new one in how to the heck
am I going to access my sony player ?

If any more details are needed plase post back and let me know and I'll
provide them.

Hi All,

I have a Fiesta Mk III and I've been chopping and changing the audio
components for the last few weeks and I can't seem to get a good
enough sound.

Original configuration: Ford RDS 2005 Head Unit, original Ford Front
Speakers, original Ford Back Speakers.

I replaced the front speakers with some Alpine SXE-1325S (35W RMS,
200W Peak), but I found little significant difference.

I then replaced the front speakers with TheLoudest.Com's TL-1051 (50W
RMS, 175W Peak) and the back speakers with TheLoudest.Com's TL-1041
(45W RMS, 150W Peak). The Ford head unit and these speakers did not
match and sounded awful.

I then replaced the head unit with a JVC KD-LHX551 which is alot
louder but I'm finding the system still sounds unpleasant. It screams
on high frequencies even at low volumes - like a "ringing" in my ears
and it distorts at high volumes.

What shall I do?

I've got a stealth shelf and I'm going to mount some speakers in that
to replace the back ones.

speaker, power and accessory leads and the aerial socket.

However, it is going to cost over 30GBP for all the bits and pieces and p&p.

If you can suggest anywhere cheaper, it would be much appreciated. I'm
happy to make up the leads - or join a set of wired plugs to a set of
wired sockets. But I do need the 10 way accessory socket extended as
well as the others..

I will need to extent the accessory socket lead so that I can still
control the radio from the steering wheel - I won't be able to reach the
radio whilst driving, in its new position..

..I needed the dash space for something else..
