Unless you need the extra "features" of the later versions or need to be
compatible with someone else using them, I'd stick with what you have.

By the way, I saw your Trabant in Germany (surely there can't another one
still on the road). Does Nick know you were skiving in a theme park?

I'm currently using MS Office 2000 and feel, it's maybe time to upgrade?

Anyone here using a more up to date versions of MS Office and is it worth
making the change?

I mainly use Excel (brilliant programme IMHO), occasionally Word and
PowerPoint.

Any thoughts?

OT Adding a COMS Port PCI Card.

Author: JM
Date: Jul 21, 2008 17:33

Hi,

I have been trying to add a GEMBIRD SPC1 Dual Coms port card to my PC.
I have tried two of the cards after my local supplier swapped it after we
thought it faulty.
The second card does the same.

The drives load well and all seems Ok.
New hardware is found.
But on switching the PC on after installation it boots up
to showing the usual ICONs then keels over and does a RE-BOOT.
It will continue to get to ICONs then re-boot time and time again if left
switched on.

I have used the drivers from the supplied CD
the XP ones.
and GEMBIRDs web site ones
ALL have the same re-boot problem.
Any ideas ?

Before some smart ass says this is not radio.
IT IS I need the card to extend my COMs ports for SO2V. OK.
The so called computer forums are full of C**P

  Identify mobile antenna mount?

Author: none
Date: Jul 21, 2008 08:44

Hi all

take a look here

http://tinyurl.com/5wtfj6

I have some antennas mounted on my company vehicle. One of them is
drilled through the roof and this small (about5 inches tall) wireless
network antenna screws onto it. I was hoping i could get a 2/70 or just
70 cm antenna that would fit the mount?

any clues?
