X-No-Archive:
Got a letter from my GP. He said they were having a routine examination
of all mental health patients on their list that they might find
vulnerable and are calling them all in as the GPs would like to offer
advice on helping the sufferers.
Sounds strange to me when you consider I've had the illness for over a
decade, am coping well, am on the right dosage and always take my meds.
I'm also working well.
So, my question is what advice can he possibly give me that I don't
already know ? I mean have new breakthroughs happened lately that mean
the wonder drugs such as Seroquel have been superceded and the doctor
desperately wants to give me new cutting edge info. He also wants a
urine sample.
I can't think he can tell me anything I don't already know. What's he
going to say/do ?

In the U.K., the Campaign for Abolition of the Schizophrenia Label is
looking at a similar future for this controversial diagniosis, find out more
at http://www.asylumonline.net/'
In Japan, the previously used term equivalent to schizophrenia, Seishin
Buntreyso Byo' (mind- split disease) has been dropped by the Japanese
Society of Psychiatry and Neurology because it was ambiguous, had purely
negative connotations and was in part related to the inhumane treatment of
most people who carried the diagnosis (Sato 2006). The new term is 'Togo
Shitcho Sho' (Integration disorder). This term is certainly one to which I
can relate more closely based on my personal experiences.

Looking for Psychiatric Abuse Testimony
In January over 600,000 community leaders will discover the truth about
the destructiveness of psychiatry.
Meanwhile there is a feeding frenzy of attorneys on the psych-pharma
industry due to drug side effects of their poison drugs.
What I want to know is your experience with psychiatry.
Has it helped you or harmed you?
Have you had any abuse yourself or friends or family?
I am interested in your story.

Do you depend on benefits to survive?
Are you constantly having to fill in review forms, send off copies,
complete new housing benefit forms, every 3 to 6 months? Have you had
benefits stopped because of a bureaucratic error? Do want to live a
dignified life and not just exist at the mercy of the system?
Please join me on my group especially for those that are seeking to
improve their lives and dependency in an eco friendly manner and be
part of a wider community.
Our group can be found on http://groups.google.com/group/offthegrid
The group is new and we want to grow the group so that as group we can
change what the politicians and bureaucrats won't. Lets have some fun
too.
Hope to hear from you all soon

My dad seems to have a problem. He often says hurtful comments to
people, which naturally cause them to get upset. When he asks them why
they are upset, they will point out the hurtful comment that he said.
He will immediately get very defensive and deny the comment stating
that it is the other person who is being nasty and that they are
negatively interpreting what he says. He will keep on giving reasons as
to why they are wrong (often in an almost aggressive manner, such as
talking very loudly) until they back down.
He denies every single mistake he makes. He seems to believe that he
does no wrong; it is only other people that do wrong. He also truly
believes that only he works hard and nobody else works hard.
Because of this, he leads a very difficult life. He gets on with
absolutely nobody. However, he feels these problems are caused by other
people's negativity and not his own actions.

Your brain is the seat of your intelligence and source of your emotions
... and so it controls your entire life.
Everyone knows that any improvement you can make in the raw power,
speed and efficiency of your mind, will empower you to capture wealth,
health, happiness and everything you desire ... faster than you ever
thought possible.
Probably you've tried other self-improvement programs and products
and you're still at the same place you've always
been-disappointed and frustrated.
One of the easiest pathways for applying a stimulus to the brain is
through the ears.
Such a route involves presenting the ears with a steady and accurate
pulsed/beat pattern. This pattern of sound works naturally with the
brain and can produce amazing effects.
The tendency of the brain to tune in to and match the external
stimulus's frequency is referred to as the "frequency following
response".
To make it easier for the brain, it is important to start with a brain
wave entrainment (BWE) frequency close to the state that you are in and
then gradually change this frequency to the desired state. ...

I've been taking Risperdal for the last 5 months for various problems (still
not sure what, as my shrink hasn't given me any sort of indication of whats
wrong with me) although from what I've read up on these, they're primarily
used for Schizophrenia treatment. This seems to fit vaguely into my
problems, along with delusions, paranoia, etc. Taking these tablets I;ve had
varied side effects, from muscle failure/freezing up, to lactation (yes I'm
male) and extreme nausia and tiredness, right through to lack of appetite
and insomnia as well as the tiredness.
I've not taken the tablets for a few days as my prescription ran out, and
I've been through a bad patch so I've not left the house. I'd just like to
know anyone elses experience on these tablets, any side effects, and what
they were treating. This is mainly just so I can get some answers as to what
these tablets are treating in me, as I feel really left out of the loop of
whats going on in my own head.
Thanks
Chris
