ISTR she was accused of some sort of professional misconduct and then
cleared. Is it the case that most PwME consider her an asset but one or
two organisations disagree with her? Personally I can really identify
with the articles I've read on that site so far and think there's some
useful information there.

I'm going through a very bad time at the moment because I need treatment
for depression and anxiety, but all I've been offered so far is another
course of citalopram which made me worse (insomnia and axiety) earlier
in the year. It's good to see that at least one qualified doctor
acknowledges that SSRI side effects are worse for PwME and usually make
them worse overall. I think for me at the moment my mental condition is
worse than my physical one so they're worth a try, but I can't possibly
face any additional insomnia and anxiety just at the moment so I'll
either have to try a different drug or take it in conjunction with
something else that counteracts the side effects.

I get the impression that they're not fully understood and the
anti-depression effect is just another side effect but a beneficial one.
It looks to me though that chemists are able to determine which types of
chemical have this effect. It's scary that such a tiny pill can have
such a big effect.

I've had mixed results with kava kava. The first lot I had was before it
was banned here and you could get it cheap from Goldshield so I took it
every day. It seemed to help a bit.

It's a bit expensive to be taking every day now. Most of the time if I
start taking it to get through a bad patch it doesn't help, but on two
occasions I've gone from the verge of a panic attack to completely calm
about 15-20 minutes after taking a capsule.

My current jar of KK has nearly run out so I've got some Relora next.
That's even more expensive but it will be worth it if it works.
