  Transport of a sort

Ok, I suppose a purist might say this isn't about transport but I beg to
differ. It takes you from A to B (and back again).

Anyone know of any companies in the Northwest (pref Cheshire / Gt Manchester
/ Merseyside) that buy used stairlifts? Have one that needs taking out and
away. Don't want silly money ( if I did, it'd probably be better to weigh
the ally rail in ), just want it gone.

Thanks for any sensible suggestions.

Petition to stop overcrowding on public transport

Author: Jonathan
Date: Jul 18, 2008 17:47

Public transport has always been awful; and over the past couple of years
I've noticed that more and more often I'm squashed inside a bus or train,
with hardly enough room to breathe, because the company decided to cancel
earlier buses or trains without notice, and without making any alternative
arrangements.

Because I believe that this gross-overcrowding is a serious risk to public
health and safety, I've created a petition at
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/sardines/ asking for action to be taken to stop
this gross-overcrowding.

Therefore, if anyone else here shares my concerns, please co-sign the
petition, and if possible, please pass the message along to a few friends.

  Citroen Berlingo Multispace

A favourite of the disabled driver for ages, Citroen have done a
facelifted version with added styling touches of the Picassos

http://www.channel4.com/4car/gl/citroen/berlingo+multispace/23200/

Looks much less van-like now IMO and seems to have better seating. Not
entirely sure about the light fabrics in some of the shots.

  Any recommendations for WAV insurance?

As subject - we are about to get a secondhand wheelchair accessible
Peugeot Expert. I have yet to find an online quote system that can
cope with it, but my heart sinks at the idea of 'phoning umpteen firms
who also can't deal with it.

Incidentally, I have seen this report:
