Hello

Can anybody recommend a make or model of hearing aid?

I did have an NHS Siemens one, but I've lost it, and in any case it was
always unhelpful in situations with background noise, however they adjusted
the settings.

So I'm thinking of getting one privately. Any advice?

It seems strange that in such a group as this, that the average entry
appears not to relate to the subject of deafness. As a forty nine year
old male, who's hearing has collapsed over the last three years, I am
interested in reading and becoming involved in any groups that help me
and others like me to find solutions to the increasing problems that
daily appear.

I’m not being negative, I have good health otherwise, and a loving
wife, but my career is vanishing quicker than mist on a summer’s day.
Personally I could do with advice on coping strategies, career idea’s
the job market appears very restricted to older deaf people.
So how about some real entries, tell us about your successes your
coping methods encourage others to carry on, because the one thing I
have discovered about going deaf it’s a very lonely journey

An out of work pianist with Tourette's Syndrome is strolling around the
