Why the fuck do people still use these crafty fuckers and their
arbitrary who gives a shit about the customer attitude? Now they are
blatantly telling new Ebayers that they MUST use PayPal and that the
cocks have the right to withhold money for 21 days after payment has
been made!!

What's the fucking point in using them any more?

I quit and will use Amazon instead.

I emailed Ebay as follows:
Is it acceptable for me to put "I would prefer cash on collection" on my
listing if I list a large high value item that cannot be posted? I am
aware that I have to offer Paypal!
Please confirm that a listing would not be removed if it said "I PREFER
CASH ON COLLECTION"

I just got this wonderfully helpful reply:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us with your question related to the drafting
of your listing.

Regarding your query related to checking the new draft of your listing,
I would like to provide you with a definitive reply. However, it would
be difficult to do so.

Unlike a traditional auction house, we're not involved in the
transaction and we don't see items before they're listed. We simply act
as a venue for buyers and sellers to meet. If reported to us, listings
may be removed for breaching the law, a rights owner's intellectual
property rights or because they blatantly breach eBay listing policies.

So what was the real reason you didn't pay?

I'm proposing to sell a transformer on Ebay and it weighs about 5-6 KG

Am I likely to find a courier that I can use for this that might be
cheaper than RM Standard Parcels which would be about £9.30 or £11.40
depending on how much wrapping it needs .

How long did it take for the appeal to be processed?

I've got a proper appeal on the go, where I bought some products from a
competitor (forgot to switch to buying account), had to chase him up after 2
weeks, he wouldn't supply because I'd ordered over the maximum quantity, so
I took a refund as the only option.

He filed NPB, I responded, he said do a mutual, I said fuck off, accept your
policy but you should have refunded my money not sat on it and now you do a
NPB on me, no way am I going for mutual, you should have done a mutual
first. So I got the strike but that was over a week ago and I haven't heard
anything from the appeal and it doesn't appear in your dispute console.
