This group is for the discussion of bondage, discipline, Domination, submission and sado-masochism in Britain by those involved in the scene and those with an interest in the scene.

I hope that this group will not have the need to enforce strict on-topic discussion but will be a friendly place where those interested or involved in the bdsm scene can get to know one another. However the initial posting in a thread should be on- topic, however much it may wander later. Queries about bdsm practice, tips on safety, discussion of methods and materials, arrangement of related UK meetings and events etc are all on topic.

Alt.sex.bondage has a policy of allowing explicit fiction, however I feel it may be best to put this off-topic. Though announcements when a story has been posted to alt.sex.stories or alt.sex.stories. bondage by a member of the group are allowed.

Advertising

Short (less than 20 line) announcements of UK events relevant to readers are permitted; blatant off-topic or commercial advertising (even those related to the group topic and in particular for phone sex, explicit web sites or bulletin boards) are not. If you run a related business you may advertise it in your sig, providing it does not exceed 6 lines total, if you have something relevant to post to the group.

Binaries

Binaries are not permitted on this group, they should be posted to alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.bondage. Posts advertising web sites or bulletin boards containing explicit pictures are not welcome, again you may advertise in your sig if you have something relevant to post.

I don't think it random, but I may be wrong. My observation has
been that publicised e-mail addresses are spammed, always. If I were
to receive ten spamming e-mails per diem, I might well be preparing
to sharpen the long knives.

I detest spam. I desire Usenet to be populated by thoughtful,
civilised people. I can hardly say it more plainly.

But sad to say, here I sit writing about spam when I ought to
be considering the joy of having one's face imprisoned between a
delightful pair of feminine legs. Do you suppose the original poster
has found his ideal lady, or is still dreaming of her? How long
might he go before he begins struggling to buck her off?

With regard to enacting things, well, not really tried that. I enjoy
imagining things, but as you say, writers tend to make things deliberately
hotter its part of their trade.

I think in hindsight a lot of the things I did on my own when young were
very stupid, but just like most youngsters play around with fire at some
point, and get a thrill, I think we kinkier folk tend to apply it to that
side of our characters.

Yes, the snag with being the boss in real life, so to speak, is that once
you have been the small cog, you can see how the small cog sees the boss.
Thus in striving not to be a bar steward, so to speak, I was not effective
as a boss.

You really do need to be a sadist to be a boss who is effective I think.

In a way, the best way to be a small cog is to be invisible as possible. As
I was always sticking up for justice in situations, I think my punishment
was to make me the thing I was fighting most of the time.
