Leadbelly.

In UK folk music, Billy Pigg and Jock Duncan only becaem well-known
very late in life, but neither had any single item become a "hit".

The Buena Vista Social Club didn't have their first international hit
until that age and then some, but they were well established in Cuba
before that.

In classical music, George Lloyd and Havergal Brian.

Followups set to umf, the only one of these groups I read.

  Available albums from The Hoax?

Author: Hans-Jürgen Bardenhagen
Date: Nov 19, 2006 02:02

Hi, recently I found an overview of available albums from The Hoax at a web
forum about the Davey Brothers (former guitar and bass player in that
British bluesrock band). I posted a question about two Hoax songs I'm trying
to identify in an old thread there, but probably no one reads that forum
anymore:

http://www.thedaveybrothers.com/bboard/forum/viewtopic.asp?TopicID=1549368&topic...+

So I thought I might copy & paste it here as well:

On the "Live in Germany" MP3 album, is there a track called "Fingers on one
hand"? A friend of mine has it and can't remember what it was. I've found
out in the meantime that the studio version is on "Unpossible", and live
they include "When the world is running down" by The Police in that track.

Another song might have been called "Come on suzi", because the singer
repeats this line quite often. But it's a studio track, so maybe it's
included on "Unpossible" as well which I don't know yet?

German Blues forum had to move servers

Author: Hans-Jürgen Bardenhagen
Date: Nov 19, 2006 02:01

Hi, for any German readers who might know the old URL of the "Bluesforum",
the admin moved to another hoster because of problems with the old one. The
new address is now:

http://forum.bluesforum.de/

or using the direct link of the free web hoster:

http://100152.homepagemodules.de/

He's also trying to integrate the old database, so the messages won't be
lost, but that might take a while.
