John Trevor had worked with Rochdale band, Tractor in 1971 when he
recorded his “Creation” album for John Peel’s Dandelion label. At that
time, he was Beau and Tractor were The Way We Live. But it was the
same team – John Trevor, Jim Milne, Steve Clayton and John Brierley –
who came together early in 1972 to lay down a fresh collection of JT
songs for a possible new Dandelion album, tentatively titled “High
Mass”. One of those songs was “The Smoke Of Eden”.
In the event, Dandy closed in late ’72, and the album never saw light
of day; but “The Smoke Of Eden” gives a flavour of what could have
been. Enjoy!

Yeah, I'd previously just grinned at the charm of these posts, but that
charm wears off after a while... it's just one-sided "listen to my
playing" stuff with no offer of interaction or discussion.

Heh...so maybe not just me being churlish then.
I've just seen these posts as spam for a while. They don't seem to be
particularly on topic or, indeed, posted for anything other than
promotional reasons.
Steve.

Phew - I thought they meant the Dandy comic.
Mind you, I know the Beano is still going as I buy it occasionally,
but is the Dandy still being published?
If so, is Corky the Cat still on the front?
Steve.
