Am I the only one who shouts at the TV when they talk about "medalling in
Beijing". For one, medal is a noun and NOT a verb. And secondly, it sounds
like something dodgy you would associate with Gary Glitter. Time for a
letter to Feedback?

Can our more experienced Thunderbird users (more experienced that me,
that is, which isn't difficult!) tell me if there's a keyboard shortcut
for "fetch all new posts", please? Ta!

I thought Tom was put in an impossible situation: I thought his
suggestion was quite reasonable, at least shouldn't have been dismissed
out of hand with so little thought (they'd asked him to put thought into
it).

I thought he gave in far too easily. OK, they all now love him, but when
he gets really ratty because it's VERY hard work making it work the way
they want (as I am sure it will be), I hope they're
tolerant/patient/whatever.

What will Brian do? What legal commitment has Tom to Brian? Even if
none, will Brian set up in competition (assuming he can get the staff)?

  OT:crickets in the garden

I am being driven slowly mad by what appears to be the sound of crickets in
my garden. How can that be because, by any stretch of the imagination, I
don't live in a hot country.

Any ideas welcome - many thanks in advance.

Does anyrat use Windows Vista? If so, does it have any advantages over XP,
which I've always found to be stable and reliable?
