Aarrrgh, that be the exact thoughts o' me and my crew when Neil Barker
returned from overseas and proclaimed he was goin' to marry Fat Emma From
Prague.

Aarrrgh, an' I b'ain't too sure wot be a-happenin' these days but it seems
like the nuptials might still be on in spite o' the fact Neil's daddy has
tried his best to get a injunction to stop it. After all, a young boy
defiantly needs his daddy, don't he?

  Surrey be a lovely place

Author: Woodes Rogers

Aarrrgh, lads, (and lasses) I just be on me way back to me ship after a
jolly night on the rum. The jolly boat is full o' drunken sailors and we all
be agreed that Surrey be the place for us, in fact, because of the warm and
hearty welcome wot we got from the men o' Surrey (and some o' the wimmin!
ROLF!) we now be a-goin' to put uk.local.surrey on the map as a most welcome
port of call for all weary Usenet travellers.

For the Usenet Rough Travellers' Guide to Surrey:

Pilotage be free. Just sling your hook where you fancy.

Don't you be a-botherin' about law 'n' order, oh no! The local officer in
charge of the group, Dave The Fat Sarge [see sig] has promised to turn a
blind eye not only to piratical transgressions but also to any breakers of
Usenet nettyket wot wants to post there. (You can also use his personal
netty at any time of day or night.)

Hospitality: Daft Brian will fetch and carry day and night just to make sure
ye have cold stuff to drink durin' the day and hot stuff (if ye want it!)
during the night. (Daft Brian himself is quite hot. Allegedly.) He will also
obligingly post replies to every single message no matter how daft you
intend them to be. He is a true above and beyond the call of duty Daft
Brian, so he is.

I'd have said a good example of the failure of "care in the community"
