Brunstrun says:

""Ecstasy is a remarkably safe substance - it's far safer than
aspirin," he said. "It's easy to find people on both sides of what is
really a very heated debate at the moment, I think.

"But if you look at the Government's own research you will find that
Ecstasy by comparison to many other substances, legal and illegal, is
a comparatively safe substance."

Well, that is actually the REALITY OF THE SITUATION

However headless chicken, dumbed down knee jerk nazi headcases said:

But Peter Stoker, of the National Drugs Prevention Alliance, said: "Mr
Brunstrom should resign. His comments are increasingly incompatible
with his position.

"The danger from illegal drugs isn't just a question of how poisonous
it is in the short-term - although any dose of ecstasy can kill - it
includes the damaging behaviour which people are sucked into and the
harm it does to those around them, particularly their families."

Arggghhhh!!!!!!!

The NDPA appears to now be part of Narcanon, the $cientology front. Go ask
the NDPA's David Raynes, whom I used to discuss these matters with, in
uk.politics.drugs. He posts as "Claude", I no longer partake. David, like
me, likes real ale. Spot the relative dangers of alcohol and ecstasy in

Yes, alcohol kills 1,000s of people each year, whilst ecstasy kills about
the same number as peanuts.

The loonies are running the mad house.

It takes a brave man to speak sense and Richard Brunstrom is a very
brave man. The dingbats and nut jobs are out in force attacking him
like pit bull terriers on steroids, as could be predicted.

I do remain quiet, mostly, now. I'll only take up spliff smoking again
when they reclassify it to class B, just to do my bit to increase usage,
because that is what will happen.

You mean that he is wrong? That ecstacy is actually more dangerous
than aspirin? Can you demonstrate that?

Since this is a fact:

*******************************************************************************

For 50-year-old men, taking an aspirin every day to prevent heart
disease and stroke carries a risk of 10.4 deaths per 100,000 men per
year over and above their overall death risk.

He's right as the death rates collated by the government show. Paracetamol
is apparently fatal for 1 in 300,000 doses, ecstacy for 1 in 2.1 million.
Comparing it to a class A drug like Crack Cocaine is just plain stupid.
Cheers
