stopped from developing the Atom Bomb only when their heavy water

Yes, it is trying and failing. There is little intolerance of Muslims
(Bar a lot of keyboard warriors on British political NG's seemingly!
:-)) Far from it. Of course I agree about civil liberties though.
However, the erosion of these goes to back to well before this
government and probably would have carried on, albeit at a slower pace,
without out the useful excuse of the threat of terrorism.

Just out of interest, have you? It doesn't sound like it. The animals lose
consciousness almost immediately, as the arteries to the brain are severed.
There's no way it chokes on its own blood.
Let's face it, the whole abattoir must reek of blood, and the animals must
be completely terrified anyway. The whole process is totally disgusting.
Does it really make any difference whether the final death is with a bolt
shot into the brain or with a cut with an incredibly sharp knife?
