I'm not saying they were members of the communist party, but some Americans
in the neo conservative movement said that the communists were supporting
them in order to destabilise western democracy.

THE SQUIRREL AND THE GRASSHOPPER
REST OF THE WORLD VERSION:
The squirrel works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building
and improving his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The
grasshopper thinks he's a fool, and laughs and dances and plays the
summer away.
Come winter, the squirrel is warm and well fed. The shivering
grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.
THE END

This place isn't any fun any more. It's getting too heavy. A result,
perhaps, of discussing religion and politics (if global warming comes under
that heading).
I've had enough of it, so here's a joke (copied from ElseWhere) to lighten
things up. (I don't care if you've heard it before - it's better than
ploughing through all that heavy stuff...)

Wanda's telly stopped working so she called a repairman. Since she had to
be at work the next day, she told the repairman, "I'll leave the key
under the mat. Fix the TV, and send me the bill."
"Oh, by the way don't worry about my bulldog Spike. He won't bother

parrot!"
She added, "I REPEAT, DO NOT TALK TO MY PARROT!"
When the repairman arrived at Wanda's flat the following day, he
discovered the biggest, meanest looking bulldog he has ever seen. But,
just as she had said, the dog just lay there on the carpet watching the
repairman go about his work.

Men who meet in the name of The Lord Jesus Christ receive His promise
that He will be amongst them. This is successive, His presences is
known 'because' one or both have known the power of His Holy Spirit in
their presence before. It's an unbreakable chain of succession because
His salvation is all powerful to each and everyone who receive Him into
their lives. 'The church' is the people amongst whom He dwells, the
body of Christ.

No Kevin, it's simply people who have given their lives over to Christ
because of His profound love for them, your neighbours, their
