got the DG in today,how long does this bloody acrylic sealant smell for?

Got a real bad headache with the smell and the windows and backdoor is open.

I have just removed the wallpaper and lining paper from two rooms. Under it
all someone has painted the walls, all of them partition walls and they look
like cardboard to me. Very soft walls and easily damaged. I dont know the
material used.
However some of the paint has peeled off and I tried a watered down coat of
paint on them today to see what it would look like and its very noticable.
There are lots of areas, albeit only small, where the paints come off and
its down to the board.

Would some kind of polyseal help to cover up the missing paint etc. It isnt
deep enough really to warrant using filler. But does anyone know of a
solution or product I can use to make it look better.

It's a downstairs (ground floor) loo with a concrete floor, tiled
walls. Currently there is a loo in the corner, which may or may not
be moved depending on the design of the wet room and whether it is
necessary or not. The loo has an outflow which goes vertically down
into the concrete.

Actually I just remembered I have bought a new bathroom suite and the
new loo has a horizontal outflow, I had decided to move the loo and
have the outflow going out through the wall.

There is also a sink in the other corner.

But anyhoo, the point is, how do you design and construct a wetroom
from this starting position because the drain for the wetroom will
have to be embedded into the concrete floor.

Same goes if I have a posh stone shower tray installed, I don't want a
shower tray on legs, I want a shower tray that sits directly onto the
concrete floor. So I have to dig out a channel into the concrete?

How do you do this without damaging the DPM?
And what do you do if you do damage the DPM?

Last year, I laid laminate floor across the dining room and kitchen
floors. At the time it was my intention to manufacture, from hard wood,
some new threshold strips to join up the laminate to 2 carpets. However,
due to ill health and the cold winter, I have not got a round tuit any
more, so the wife wants something done about it.

What I propose to do is use laminate to laminate metal strips, but I
have a problem with the kitchen to hall joint. When the hall carpet was
laid, there was a gripper strip at the threshold adjacent the original
wooden threshold strip. In putting down the laminate, I have lost the
use of both the threshold strip of wood and the gripper strip. What I
propose to do is use some industrial strength adhesive (solvent type) to
glue the carpet to the asphalt floor, but I need to stretch the carpet
while it goes off by using two long strips of wood to push against the
front door frame and a gripper strip attached to a wider piece of wood
to keep up the tension, by causing the 2 strips to bow and weighting
them down at the middle. I hope you understand all that :-)
